The
Philippine Board on Books for Young People declared Cheeno Marlo Del Mundo
Sayuno as the lone honorable mention
winner of the 2015 PBBY-Salanga. No one
was declared as grand prize winner for the PBBY-Salanga this year. Sayuno’s
winning story is entitled, “The Missing Blanket.”
Sayuno is an
instructor at the University of the Philippines Los Banos where he is also
taking masteral studies in Communication Arts. He has a mass communications
degree from Cavite State University where he also became editor-in-chief of The
Gazette.
Sayuno will
be awarded during the celebration of National Children’s Book Day in July 2015.
